My principles
-
The function of the object should remain without reducing its historical value orimportance.
Original parts , material, style and working methods will not be changed, replaced or destroyed with intention to deceive.
-
Depending on the objects condition it is not always possible to retain the original function without replacing or rebuilding certain parts. Original parts will always be placed in or fixed onto the object when possible.
- Given the condition of an object it may be in its best interest to stabilise its condition without it functioning. Advanced corrosion, wear, or complex maintenance are all good reasons to consider reducing or ending its mechanical function.
